If you didn't have a Rover . . . ?

Mine would have to be a MKII Zephyr or Zodiac if not then a MKIII Zephyr or Zodiac. Although got to admit I do love the P5's as I had 2 in the early 70's as taxis. I had the 3,5 Coupe on a 'E' (67) reg and a 3.5 Saloon on a 'B' (64) plate. Had these 2 together. Made their money back very quickly. They were bloody good workhorses! Also had MkIII Zephyr 4 and MKIII Zodiac 6 in the stable as well. Drove the P5 Coupe to Blackpool and back in 1973. Beautiful drive. Total comfort. Loved all 4 of these cars and still do. They have got to be my alltime favourite cars.

A Triumph Stag, a replica of the Mustang 390GT in bullet, an R-Series Mack, GMC Brigadier with the 6V92T Detroit and a Atkinson Borderer. Think that's everything I need!

ditto on the "I would have a Range Rover...", a nice '93 Vogue will do me, never driven a Jag but would like to experience a nice series 2 XJ6, miss the '85 SD1 I used to have so would gladly return to a (again, here's this word "nice") nice series 2 SD1, but currently enjoying a '92 Toyota Cressida Grande (with all the fruit, except a sunroof)

Ive had a few Range Rovers in my time -I'd go for the next one after "93. Last of the"classic"
It had all the refinements of the next generation HSE but you are still in the classic style. Soft dash, air suspension, bigger motor, more leg room, lotsa wood- the list goes on.
Wish I never sold it.The prices they command now!!!

I am a bit spoiled with A P5B coupe, Defender, 3500s and an XJS but if i had the space I would love a 57 Chevy.

I have a '91 Cressida as daily driver...with sunroof!1991 Cressida.JPG

I'd have a far healthier bank account. Seriously I like classics but only really have a connection to the P6. I love Morris Minors, but without being modified (at least disc brakes, 1275, 5 speed) they aren't so much fun in modern traffic.

For me a ford mustang, 64.5 to 1973 i'm hoping to replace my p6 with one in a few years.... it wont be a big block for that price but ill be happy with a 289 or 302.
A 1968 S code in the attached colour scheme is my dream car

After this i really like Lincoln Continental Mark 3

I'm mainly a fan of US Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products. Love wood paneled station wagons too.
I love my Three Thousand Five and one of the main reasons i got it is that its a lovely solid v8 car without the usual extremely over the top price of most tinny british cars.

I bought this Triump Stag last year. It has been a dream to have it for a while, but I must say I'm a bit dissapointed. It is not nearly as good to drive as my 1971 Rover 3500. I have to say though, it needs a bit of sorting out before it work as intended. It is a beutiful car even with the hardtop on, which I have.
My other dream cars are : Volvo P1800, Volvo PV 544 sport, Saab 96 V4 (I have one awaiting restoration), Early Rover 2000 (I have a 1965 Wedgewood blue awaiting restoration). Citroen SM and Talbot Matra Murena S.
That list is long enough I think - Just one life!

Had a 1954 Sunbeam Alpine for 29 years, sold in 2014. Enjoyed it very much but was not using it enough.
Replaced it in 2015 with a 2005 Limited Edition (out 0f 1million plus?) MX5, and as Jay Leno has said, that is probably all one needs in a sports car, though would prefer the feel of manual steering.P8062262.jpgP8062265.jpg
