Power to my elbowedw

Hi well what a job
I had a leaky power steering pump,
I ordered a rebuild kit, the seal that fits between the two half’s was too small, so I carefully stretched it to fit.
refitted it no good it leaked, what now, well I found one on the old eBay site. Looked perfect £38 bargain.
looked great but the hose connections completely in the wrong place, not sure if this one is from a left hand drive car
so re routed the hoses it’s all very confusing as the parts book only shows one pump, different brackets but that’s all.
im hoping tomorrow will be fruitful and I can get this pump fitted and working wish me luck
regards Paul

Hi
you know it could well do !!
im not sure why the hose connections differ, but at least it’s pretty obvious which is in and out

Hi, Was the pump specifically for the P6b because they turn the opposite way to normal applications.

There was a forum member on here that was an expert on the pumps and the minutiae of them.

Colin

Edit: I've found it and him on post10. I hope this helps.

Hi not sure what Post10 means ?
thanks paul

You could try Pierre Januscz, in South London, who lists on ebay under the vendor name voking2000, I think. Also Roverpart of London, again S. London, down Croydon way if I remember right. Can't find his details right now. Both have lots of NOS Rover stuff, and might have the seal kit you need. I can't remember where I got my seal kit some ten years back now, but it all worked without leaks no problem, so it can be done! I hope I didn't just hex myself saying that!

Today I fitted a fuel king regulator set to 3 psi
turned on the ignition and amazingly the carburetutor valves are hold

Are holding
just got to sort out fixing the fuel lines so they can’t rub n anything.
hopefully this is the end of my worries about leaking petrol everywhere
fingers crossed
