    SuperPro Poly

his has been discussed at length if you look through the suspension and steering forum. BAsically in some applications polly are OK but in some cases, specifically the front upper link bushes which twist they'll squeak like nobody's business. Don't I know it!!! A job I am not looking forward...

    Most compact Rover v8 set-up.

I've just bought (cheap) a 4.0L Thor engine. Will be top-hat linered soon. I am looking at using the front cover, with the crank driven oil pump, Nodiz pro to provide sparks. The sump is a different shape at the front and deeper at the back, so will be modded. The front is about 20mm shorter, at...

beam speed limits and traffic information directly into cars

Don't know what you are all worried about. When all "new" cars have the 5G linked to the engine ECU (controlled speed, no speeding) our classics will still be manual ( footual? ) control. OH sorry ociffer no limit signal!!!

I use one on my 3500. Some "battery minders" come with both crocodile clips and a plug for the cigar lighter.

    safety belts?

Do you want the legal position or peoples opinions. The P5 may have had front belts from new ( if registered after 1st aug 1964). so completely different. Bear i mind children can not travel in a car without wearing a seatbelt. Personally I have 4 retractable belts in my '71 P6 .Jim

    Dash Cam ?

Shouldn't be a problem, the cigar lighter is permanently live so be sure to switch off (or unplug) the cam if you don't want a flat battery. jim

    LED headlight conversion

One reason for fitting LED's is the reduced current consumption, i.e. less amps ( W = V x A) . Suppliers claim light output compared to a certain wattage incandescent bulb. Often the LED is whiter and brighter than a bulb. The light is also produced in a more concentrated form. This why you...

    LED headlight conversion

I notified my insurance of my changes, ZF transmission, alloy wheels, and they accepted these. I expect a different reaction to your LED lights because of the lack of type approval. And we all know how any excuse invalidates your policy.

    LED headlight conversion

I think you are refering to Peter's mention of high output bulbs, quite different ti high high WATTAGE. As you are for "off road use". High output are the same wattage, but (claim) more light.
