    I have spoken to Mark Grey, who confirms that the 2000 and 2200 SC exhaust manifolds are the same . so if you do have one I would be very grateful . regards John

    My understanding is that early engines ( not sure if it is 2000 only) had a plain main bearing on number 3 but were upgrade to all bearings having an oil groove. If you look on the Wadhams site they advertise the 2 types for the 4 pot engines

    My engine number for My 2200 auto is 47605837A| can any body tell me is this a later engine with the main beaing's all with the oil groove or is it the early type with the middle bearing plain . Regards John

    I don't know about the oils, but what he is saying as an oil expert! the modern synthetic oils out performs the classic 20/50 oils in all aspects he talks about the how oil sheer, but he does say that it must meet the Mercedes spec that I mentioned, I guess this is a similar recommendation...

    Thanks for the link, it looks possible to lower the pressure by modifying the relief valve spring, I'm not sure how to go about it though. What upsets me a little is if I had thought about it I when I had the pump rebuilt I could have asked the builder to modify the pressure to around 800-8050...
