Good afternoon,
all started with a leak on one of the cylinder head screws, I decided to take the whole thing apart and while I’m doing that convert to Edelbrock carb and intake. So far so good. Everything is straight forward except the connection from the throttle cable to the P6 linkage. any...

Im struggling with a water leak on my P6
The water is leaking through the outer screw. What confuses me is that there is no water channel behind. The engine is a 3,5l with SD1 heads with a Composite gasket.
Any ideas before I completely dismantle it.
Thanks
Peter
(Un)fortunately I have a 3500. Meanwhile I also contacted Jon Wadham and wins but noone has a replacement part. So I will probably keep mine and cross fingers that it lasts for a while.
@harveyp6, thanks for the remark regarding the synchro ring. I found a good used one so that I dont have to...
Dear all,
during the weekend I finaly removed the transmision from the car and dismantled it. Unfortunately I found (besides from a broken synchro ring) wear on 6 teeth of the layshaft (see picture).
Does anyone have a spare part or knows where to get one.
Thanks in advance.
Peter
Thanks for all your answers. I'm probably going without tubes. I hope that after de chroming and powder coating the rims will still keep the pressure.

Any...

Thanks
Hi,
I recently purchased a Rover P6 3500s (1977 with power steering). Now I'm looking for springs to lower the car. Are there springs on the market or is the only alternative to press the springs?
Thanks for your help/ hints in advance.
Peter
