Change gearbox to sd1gearbox

Hello everybody , van you fit a bw65 gearbox of a SD 1 in tho a p6 gearbox . should be from 1979 with the engine also from the same year . Wat dho i need tho replace tho be abel tho fit this type of box . Is the engine the same as in the p6 ? Same Hp Ore less . Can you fit the engine also in tho the p6 . Or dho i need tho change some things to . Many questions , i Hope tho get answers tho .many thanks tho Google translead . Thank you all
 
SD1 BW65 has a different tailshaft housing, which is an easy swap for the P6B one, providing the tailshaft itself isn't different, because changing that involves dismantling the box removing all the main components. Sadly I can't remember if this is the case or not. You would need to sort that, and if fitting the engine as well you would need to change the ancilliaries over as well, manifolds, sump, oil pickup, alternator baracket, front pulley, engine mounting brackets etc.

The SD1 output shaft is different from the P6, the speedo worm drive position is a different size so you won't be able to fit the P6 speedo worm unless you have it machined.
They are also different lengths so you will need a longer propshaft flange bolt.
