braided clutch hose 3500S

as i need to replace my red-hose clutch hose i´m after a braided one.
car is a 4-speed 3500S

searched the web and was surprised that i couldnt find one....with lotus or reliant its a common upgrade...

anyway...could somebody tell me which threads the fittings on both sides have and the approx. length, so i can get one made to measure from a local supplier.

perfect.....thats exactly what i´m searching....

the "red-hose-syndrome" is well known within Lotus and Relaint Scimitar owners.....so must be also a problem on Rovers...at least at my car.....

Interestingwise Lotus remained using such a hose from the 70ies up to the 2000´s

ordered the clutch hose....asked :

„The braided hose has the same fitting on the master cylnder, as well as the solid pipe bent 180 degrees on the other side?“


got it confirmed.

what arrived: a braided hose with standard straight male end fittings....

so finally recognized that i made a mistake in ordering...my car is a LHD, which has a very short (~200mm) hose, instead the one i got, which s 1050mm long...so seems for an RHD

anybody interested?
