BW35 Selector Rod Bracket (oops)

While removing the engine, a bit of a problem related to snagging or not disconnecting everything, I don’t quite recall, arose, The sliding bracket (compensator?) that holds the BW35 linkage plastic part was destroyed. I am looking for the bracket or the whole thing.

The bracket PN is 561269 (CC2), or at least that’s what is stamped on the side. For 3500 NADA

Anyone got these, well, one of them?

You just want the ally bracket and not the slider? I can look and see what I've got if you like, but you'd be better trying to find one your side of the pond to reduce the shipping.

Not removing the bracket before removing the engine and box often leads to breakage, but you know that already...

Hi

It’s okay - can be shipped to Epsom then I can get it later, makes things easy. Yes, it’s just the ally bit that is now sans screw holes.

You are unsurprisingly correct as not removing the bracket “often” did cause breakage. In fact 100% of the (one) time I tried getting a motor out I buggered it.

I'll see what I have in the shed tomorrow, it's far too cold and wet and dark out there at the moment.

I have shipped to the States before so I could get you a price, but I don't know what problems you might run into with customs. Otherwise Epsom would be OK.

You're not the first, and you won't be the last, to break that bracket.
