what i like is that the lines and the rectangke with Rover in it to be aluminium colour. Can i just sand it down ??

how did you do it or does anyone how to do this?

any suggestions? or just leave them grey??

Hi, Yes just flat it down with a block and wet and dry. I usually flat it after priming it, then again after paint, that way you don't get the primer 'edge'. It won't be that noticeable with the grey but can be with other colours. Then go over the ribs with a metal polish like Solvol Autosol.

Clean the grey paint out of the thread for the oil filler cap, and the flat top face it closes against. In my experience the grey paint can flake over time, and that way there is much less chance of bits of paint making their way inside your engine.

Ok, I did it with the sander of my neighbour ( carpainter) with a great result! Thanks for the advice,

here they are:
