That's somewhat timely, I finished watching the Persuaders series just last week, and I must admit, I wondered if the Aston was still around. The series itself is pretty poor, mostly re-worked Saint story lines (one episode completely stolen from Kind Hearts and Coronets), with all the same actors and actresses. But John Barry's theme is awesome.It was released as a single, I remember it on TOTP.

Indeed, l always loved the series, particularly the theme & got the record as a birthday/Xmas(?) present when the series was current. My dad used to let me stay up late on a Friday to watch it & The Marty Feldman Comedy Machine.
I saw a couple of Persuaders episodes last year & it hasn't stood up half as well as John Barry's theme (or Kind Hearts and Coronets come to that) but back in the day it was compulsive viewing & impossibly glamorous.

I recall being very excited when at the end of one Marty Feldman Comedy Machine he took a bow & got a single slow handclap which turned out to be Roger Moore sitting all alone in the auditorium. Heady days.
