    3/8 NPT of course tapers, so the major diameter the thread is going to depend on where you measure it. The taper is .75" per foot, so if the thread is an inch long it would be .6125" or so at the tip, which is getting close to the mystery thread measurement. Yours Vern

    All I can say is I've seen a flat ring used, and it failed quickly. The quad seal rings are designed for use in dynamic (i.e. moving) sealing. They are not designed for static use. I'd also point out that the DeDion tube uses quad seals, so Rover was quite aware and chose to use a round section...

    I'd cut just the head off so you have plenty of screw to get a grip on, remove the runners and trim so you can get at the nut plate and then the usual story of penetrating oil & cursing to get the screw out of the nut plate. Good luck. Yours Vern

    I think the OP is asking about the illumination lights, not the warning lights? The illumination bulbs are Lucas 987, 2.2w miniature screw base with a small round globe. An Osram 3966 is a 3w version, and Phillips 12875 is a 2.4w version. By the way, there are two wattages in the warning...

    As mentioned, the moving bits are available new and that should be all you need. Another thing to check is that the relief valve is OK, which would tend to give low pressure if it were stuck or the spring had broken. Yours Vern

    I've never had a particular problem as long as the filter has both the anti drain flap & the standpipe. Maybe you've been using filter without the standpipe? Yours Vern

    What has likely happened is the little plastic bushings in the hinges have worn enough that the door sags just a hair, hence the wear on the striker.     Oh, one thing I do remember now — there are two Pozi head screws on that black plate, kind of deep in attaching to the outside door skin at the front, that love to rust in place. Easy to strip. Yours Vern
