    Hi Harvey, The cover plate that I am talking about is the one at the front of the gearbox that carries the torque converter shaft and bolts into the front of the gearbox holding it all in place the Atf is pouring out of the bottom of the bell housing could this be anything else? Cheers Stephen

    Tight Transmission Dip Stick on a S1 P6 3500

    Hi James the dipsticks have to go through a bend on the way into the gearbox so you may find it useful to turn the dipstick on the way in there should be no need to force it. Also check for sharp edges on the end of the dipstick as this will catch on the metal tube on the way in. Stephen
