Hello Ladies and gents not so long ago I bought the plastic gaskets for the door mirrors as the ones on Jamjar had perished. The mirrors were held on with philip wood screws and screw clips inside the door like these.. The mirrors were loose, tightening the screws did nothing and the screw...

    3500 with Jensen Wheels

Thanks westOz74P6B, the wheel nuts are the same Jensen wheel nuts used on the Jensen Interceptor alloy wheel. The thread is the same. The wheels went straight on onto my Series 2 and I only had to jack out the drivers side rear wheel arch to accommodate the wheel with 195/65/15 tyres. I...

Jamjar - My 1975 Rover 3500 tart up

Thanks for your compliments. :D The tyres are 195/65/15 budget tyres but the ride quality is noticeably improved. I bought a white tyre marker pen from ebay but it rubs off easily. I have now found a rubberised white wall paint on ebay which needs to be applied on the tyres under load and...

    Badge bar brackets

I 've seen P6's with badge bars and I know they look good, thats why I'm fitting one. I also have not seen new brackets like these and I don't think they are worth re chroming at the moment, they're good enough.. thanks for all the feedback :D

    Badge bar brackets

Thanks John, I suppose nothing can be done about the pitting on the chrome apart from re-chrome..... wonder how much that would cost

    Badge bar brackets

Hi All, Probably a silly question  but I am planning to fit a badge bar and these brackets look like they just clamp on, but is that good enough or am I supposed to drill 2 holes for the screws. The bottom plate has cut outs to accommodate the screws? :? Also there is a piece of soft...

    Headlining replacement

Thanks Richard, your method definitely sounds better. Harveyp6, I don't know what that is but it probably is... This rover was towing another rover p6 when the driver crashed into some traffic lights. The crash caused a kink on the roof and opposite wing, may have been repairable by a...

A 'gentle' rebuild of my 3500

Hi Mike, Ive just read your story.. wow you've made her beautiful. I see your new interior is similar to mine. Did you do anything to the leather interior seats or were they in that good condition when you bought them? my seats are tired and need to restore them to their former glory. :)
