That's how I ended up cutting my crankshaft in half between cylinders 2 & 3 :( - I had discovered that it would do 60MPH in 1st at 6000RPM. But the engine was already tired and had previously been worked on by an imbecile before I bought the car. No.2 main cap came loose and that was that.

The corner pieces at the top of the A pillars that join the chrome trim, those are riveted in place from the inside. I've been told that in order to remove the roof panel, they too need to be removed.

I personally wouldn't recommend it. But if you're a dab hand with the drill, rivet gun and silicone sealant, you can have the roof swapped back in the space of an afternoon. :cuppa:

That would be TOO easy. Pulling it apart and changing out the foam, motor bearings and brushes, cleaning out the matrix or replacing it, painting the box etc would be a nice evening project. As it is, I may end up going for the extreme option. Metal fabrication! Although I wanted to avoid it.
