    Lubrication Specifications

I have just purchased another P6B and riveted to the front panel above the headlamps is this plate. Obviously placed there by Faulls who were the state distributors of Rover here in Perth, Western Australia. After all the data in the manuals of the time about only using non Dexron fluid in the...

    Non operative wiper.

I stumbled across this item and wonder why it says that wiper motors can only work when they want to on power steering equipped vehicles. Can anyone elaborate and what is the fix. Two guesses why I want to know the answer. ELECTRICS An alternator was fitted to all P6s apart from most pre...

    Rear Door Glass P6B

I need to remove the off side rear door glass. I have followed all the steps in the workshop manual but after removing all the screws and nut's and bolts the manual says to lift the frame straight up. Mine still feels as if it is bolted at the rear around the ¼ light. The front end is free, but...

To get it ready for registration it requires brakes, exhaust, wipers that work, a windscreen chip fixed and any...

    Sighted at last.

I'm still waiting for my P6B to arrive from Victoria, some 3030 km away, but I did get to see it last weekend. Hopefully my mechanic friend will have it mobile so the transport company can get in on and off their trucks after Easter. It will need a bit of cosmetic work after I get it road legal...

    Engine Number

Trying to confirm the engine number on my P6B. The number on the block has CR 8.5 :1 and 355082008B. So far as I can find this doesn't line up with the parts list. The question is this the engine number or something else. I will need the correct information to register the vehicle. Thanks Bruce

    Another from downunder

Hello from Perth Western Australia. I have just purchased a 1976 P6B. I've never had a Rover before although I worked for New Zealand Motor Corporation, in the national parts division for a very long time. Now retired and living in Australia I need a project to keep me out of trouble. I have yet...
