First week of September the old girl got the nod (make that demand) from SWMBO to attend the All British Field Meet in Portland, Oregon. Fresh R&R to the A/C and room for the baggage some spouses seem to require was reason for the demand. Car isn't really the show quality of a couple of my other rides, but by far the most comfortable for long touring. Triple digit heat coming and going (and smoke from forest fires near 1000 of those miles) thoroughly tested the cooling system and a great appreciation of A/C! The car ran like a champ and with the fresh 3.5L and 3.9L heads, when the lumpy cam and Holley 4-bbl played nice together the old girl could get down right frisky while delivering 20-21 MPG (US Gals). Three P6s on the field, two 2000TCs and my 3500s. Pics are the smokey sunrise and the usually great scenic drive.
