Cripes, I just do not know what to say!!!

This was a crumbly looking old thing but now it just looks like it's getting stronger and stronger with each update.

Well ruddy done!

well after a couple of weeks without a camera i managed to take a few pics today of the last two weeks progress,
i made repair sections and welded in same behind passenger side headlights.

i spent two days just finishing off the interior welding where the new base floor section is on the inside
i know its welded underneath and out side but i think it looks better welded on all seams in and out,
they welds were then seam sealed and stone chip covered awaiting primer and a coat of chassis black of body colour not sure yet.

have also finished off the splash panel at the front of the sill

lastly i have had the front suspension off on the passenger side to weld in a patch of 1.6mm metal to where arm mounts to the bulk head any whilst this was off cleaned and painted the components

similar story at the rear,

have sent front brake calipers off to be reconditioned as they were seized and when i finally got pistons out found that they were badly pitted, also stripped and regreased front wheel bearing on passenger side, there was noplay or noise but not knowing how long the grease had been ther i thought i would change it anyway,
so finally after two long months all the welding on the passenger side is done and the car sits on four wheels again for a few days til i start work on the drivers side next week
wish me luck

Amazing progress , keep it up . I don't think you need luck , just plenty more of the determination you've already thrown at it :D

well i had hoped that the drivers side would be in better condition than the passenger side,
how wrong could one be, i will let the pictures do most of the talking,
i forgot my camera on the initial stripdown so what you have are mainly pictures of the
final cutting ang grinding, apart from the rear end where i need to put my thinking cap on again as this area is oh so tender

the rear inner wing, i have not touched this with an angle grinder yet as i really dont think there will be a lot left,
this section i will be leaving till last as its giving me nightmares already, i need to find out what if any repair panels are available.

Sympathies I would have said, for one departed. If it went to the car crusher I doubt there would be enough iron recovered to make a beer can

there isnt really much of the back part available, you can get most of the dpost for that side including post, inner, stiffener and the wheelarch edge but in reality alot of it will need to be manufactured by your good self, i wouldnt worry given the quality of the rest of your work its a walk in the park...... ive just had to repair that section on mine and its not been too bad, lots of fabrication and head scratching but i got there so you should be fine!

Well, if you can put that straight then frankly no P6 is beyond salvation.

It only makes me sad to think how many really good P6s when to the crusher with even very minor rot.

WHS ! !
I keep looking at your photos and muttering heartfelt but pointless obscenities - my mouth just seems to run out of control!
Its a good job I live on my own, I don't have to pay penalties.
