3500 wing badge paint finish

Hi all, just completing refurbishment of my front wing ( all the other panels to follow, one by one off the car), so while I wait for the colour coat to harden I thought I'd take a look at the 3500 wing badge. It's a bit tatty with some of the grey finish scraped back to shinier bare metal. Question is, what paint finish to use? It's a light grey which I've not seen in aerosol sprays - but I'm hoping someone will know what to use to match the original finish, and possibly recommend a product.

Thanks,
Peter

Don't believe it was painted, just anodised aluminium. If it is shiny assume some-one has sanded it?

Mike - yes I think you're right; it does look anodised. I did try light sanding and it rubbed through the finish to reveal shiny metal.

Quattro, thanks for the suggestion.

PeterF, what badges do you have? Post a pic of yours. I have a few spare badges that I'm going to advertise here, as soon as I get around to snapping some photos. I can't remember what I've got, two mounting pins or three. Probably have both, the screen printed flat ones and the debossed ones. Watch this space, or rather the For Sale page...

MrTask - Embossed type with 2 pins. Apart from the scrape on the bottom edge revealing the bare metal, the badge is not too bad, so I'd rather refurbish it than buy new.
Weld through zinc primer is closest so far!
