Now that I have acquired a V8 P6 which is the best workshop manual to buy?

Haynes has always been first choice for a lot of my cars but there seems to be quite a few genuine Rover manuals available

If OEM is the way to go, which version given that my car is early `72

Any advice gratefully received

best buy the factory ones. The ones they sell new are the 74 edition which will cover your car and have the updates as well. It won't have the power window stuff, nor the sunroof but does have the factory air con. they are available for around 20 pounds new from various bookstores online.

A parts book is worth having as well, as the illustrations show how all the individual parts fit together. There are errors though (in both the WM and the Parts Book) so beware.

Yes, he´s right. Got mine from The Rover P6 Club.
As a club member you can buy a CD ROM with the workshop manual AND the spares catalogue for just 7,50 GBP, that´s :)
