5 speed install and off to the painters !

I found the paperwork it says...
Independently tested and approved to 95/54/EC
Designed and manufactured under ISO9001:2008 quality standard.

Are you in Germany if you are asking about TUV compliance ?
At work we have a working relationship with Speedy Cables, if you need any help or have any questions you would like me to ask I will gladly help.

I have had reflective tape on the car when it was brown. I just ordered a pair of small motorcycle reflectors to go to the test, I don't see it being a problem.

I didn't like the wing mounted reflectors so used some series one items, painted body colour. They fit snugly in the corner

I did think that there would be no reflectors with the boot open, so have found some stick on ones for the same area.

They look good on there. I had my stick on ones on the top corners of the rear valance, but if you have a bumper they would be behind it o_O

I might be able to find some early tail lights with reflectors in place of the reverse lights. there were several of them at the Flynn auction...but that just transfers the problem to the reverse lamp...You could however modify the number plate light for both purposes...

Mike was your reply for me ? sorry if I am confused.
I want to keep the reverse lights at the mo. The number plate light idea wont work for me as I now have only a teeny one as the bumper has gone.

That is a seriously (purposeful) good looking race car! I admit in progress I had my doubts about how it looked ( not the performance). I hope you plan to do a lot of track work with the car, such a seriously good looking car will garner a lot of interest and kudos for the P6 and Rover brand hopefully inspiring more people to buy and restore cars that would otherwise be scrapped.

More photos please.

That just looks so beautiful! I am in awe of what you have achieved in a reasonably short period of time, too.
MOT should be a formality.
Well done, sir!

Some more P6 owners will stand in their garage this weekend and think, ok, how can I....
There were not many projects in these days, using saloon cars with such modifications on the race tracks (except the US cars). My first thought was the "red pig" from Mercedes, when I saw this beautiful work. The heavy W109 monster against a light, revy P6 :D

If I were a rich man, I'd commission another one in the blink of an eye! Are you going to install a roll cage?

Thanks all
A pass with no advisories - woo hoo !
Not all plain sailing, the prince of darkness did indeed strike, but not in the lighting dept but in the screen washer pump ' I'm going to take the day off today' dept

So 1/2 hour before having to leave I am going through fuses, etc with no luck. Having established power was there at the bottle took the lid off and powered the pump from a separate battery and then having reasoned with it nicely clouted it with a screwdriver handle, it then decided further resistance was futile and worked.
Calibrated the speedo on the way with a satnav and the many 30mph flashing signs through the villages and all was good.
I may install a cage later, it depends on whether I want to lose the rear seats or not.
I made a short vid clip, but it wont come out of my phone at the mo.
The car will go to a signwriter next to have the race number squares on the doors as I don't fell confident enough to fit them.
Cheers all.

Congratulations on the pass

Epic thread (and car!)

I love it when they decide further resistance is futile

Is it eligible for Goodwood?
