Hi guys, thought I'd share some pics with you all after abit of a winter drive last week. Its a 1972 P6, thats now fitted with a 3.9 V8 from a Range Rover, with an Edelbrock Carb and 5 speed manual box from an SD Rover. I bought the car ready built, just needing to do the finishing touches to the insides.

Hoping to clean it all up when the weather is better, the interior is still work it progress really, but thought I'd share a few pics

 OMG!

That's really quite striking :)

Erm... just one point, what on earth have you (or the PO) done to the D post to get the rear wheels to fit like that? I would love to see up under there.

Thanks guys, yeah he did do alot of cutting and chopping to make the wheels fit, and yes they are Jeep wheels. Im not sure the finer details as I havent had it up on ramps. Although I do need to figure out where the oil leak is coming from on the engine so when I get it on the ramps, I'll take some pics. It still got its original suspension so its still really comfortable (and very boaty!) I wasnt sure on the colour at first, but once its washed and dried properly, I think it does fit the 'rat rod' look. Also tried offering up the chrome bumpers again but they didnt look right so I think the smoothed look is more in keeping with the style.

I know its not a traditional classic car build and the purists will probably hate it, but its tax free, cheap to insure and makes the right noise!

One possible plan for this year is to have a custom twin exit exhaust made (possibly using my mates old cherry bombs off his camaro) to replace the big bore tail piple thats on it now. It does look more suited to a Japanese Performance car than classic rover!

excellent, would love to see some underbody pics. Can't go wrong with twin tailpipes IMO. The more V8 rumble the better.

Glad you said that, I totally agree. That is the one aspect that jars for me.

Flip...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is really very sharp indeed... That doesn't float my personal boat but there is not denying it has a certain 'something' about it... Brilliant

The rear wheel arch has been done very nicely. It looks like the original lip has been cut out and repositioned.

Brutal, I love it! Would look even better though if you would drop the front end a little bit... Give it a bit of a lean... Great work. 8)

great motor, i've some pics taken at our club meet on great yarmouth seafront.

Agreed, except for the exhaust pipe. They make it look like someone is trying too hard, like most boy-racers.

Too right - bit big and bling .
Stick it out the side , in front of the left back wheel .
3" - VAAROOM
