Anyone have a throttle shaft for a manual P6B, they would exchange for beer tokens :)

I'll have a look amongst my Flynn stuff. there is a box of such bits in there somewhere. are you sure its 20 (long shaft) and not 23 (short shaft)?

Hi mike, yes it's the long shaft, 20, I have a short one, but it's not long enough :)

I am trying to modify the linkage on the EFI as the linkage is just too long and complicated.

Could do with the control rod as well if poss, No. 40

The previous owner fitted a four barrel carb and modified the linkage to fit, and I'm beginning to think he cut the control rod down :hmm:

Probably easier/neater just to buy a short length of 5/16 rod and make a new one to fit, which looks like the way I'll have to do this :)

The control rod is a little too short as well, so I will get hold of some 3/16 studding and make up a new on of those as well.

I think they're the correct dimensions :hmm:

I think I have one of No.40 I'll need the length you want as I have a few of varying lengths. If not you can get them new from SU. Note the standard Rover linkage setup is designed to vary the rate of opening as you depress the throttle in order to give finer adjustment with the pedal for smaller openings. This provides a smoother take off.

The current one is 7 1/2" between centres, when fully extended, but needs to be at least 1/4" longer. As there is around 1" of adjustment, I need one between 7 3/4" and 8 3/4" :)

Of course it makes sense

A very informative read! I'm planning on converting mine to the Federal spec type (flatter plenum with eight sequential rectangular runners). The bits are the same just rearranged. Thats after I get it registered and change to 4 speed zf transmission....
