Advice on engine fan choice

Hey all.
I have an SD1 7 blade plastic fan on my 4.6 at the moment and it cools fine. I am aware that the NADA cars had a 13 blade plastic fan along with bonnet scoops, I assume that ambient temps in the America's can be higher than ours so also assume that the 13 blade fan was fitted to improve cooling.

So do you think the 13 small blade fan would be better than the 7 large blade fan ?

I may eventually go electric puller, but at the moment still have engine mounted.

Didn't the plastic fan fit on a viscous coupling hub and therefore has completely different spacing?

Yes it does and yes it has.
But if you fiddle with it you can shorten it up like the NADA set up.

I guess I'll throw on the 13 blade and try to source a cowl.
