I'd take the handbrake lever right out. From the rust, those calipers are getting a rebuild/replacement anyway.

It looks like that is the early style of cap, with the silly "cap" on it. They changed that pretty quickly to a more proper nut style.

The one with the "cap" on it is the later type, the early ones were the larger type, which IIRC won't fit behind the later type handbrake quadrant.

Having removed the handbrake mechanism, ugg! I tried making a drawing, have a laugh, so took some pics, easy, peasy

great idea grinding the rivet. After much agro, both callipers and handbrake items in my garage.
So I now need a calliper refurb kit to include pads and pistons. I need info as to where to obtain

Any around? I want two. Good second hand? etc, etc.
