Another early Sharkstooth!

I saw this one April last year in a private compound in Tyseley, Birmingham. The front bumper under-rider wasn't bent at this point though.

There's a lot of work there & probably not a little moolah to be spent but negotiated to under a grand that will be a very worthy project.

My old car, totally genuine mileage, unused since around 71, i had high hopes for it but entrusted some recommisioning work to the wrong person and got disheartened with it, its still very solid and well worth restoring, very early and original car, hers the link to my post of when i got it

Hi Paul,

I've just bought it, and would certainly be interested in any bits you have..

Regards,

Chris

Hi, I found out through another forum that an erstwhile member of this forum made an offer on this car, was accepted, then later refused.

Hope it goes well. Does it need much?

Colin

Makes sense now,

Im glad its found a good home, although it doesnt look it, its a cracking base for resto, i made a bad judgement call on giving it to someone to do some recomission work, that went wrong, he lost bits, left it outside, when i finally got it back i was disheartened with it, i gave it to a friend that said he would do it justice, as the years passed there was no progress, when i pointed this out he gave it me back, needless to say it had only got worse, so i eventually sold it on with some other cars that i was never going to do anything with.

Im looking forward to seeing it bought back to life.

Is it possible (with Nick & Rudiger's help?) to put a list together of known 'Sharkstooth' survivors, which could be added to as cars come to light? No need for owners' names, so shouldn't present any data protection issues & roadworthy ones will be on the DVLA site anyway (even if a little difficult to find!)

Chris, congratulations! It's a great buy by the look of it. I wanted it myself but couldn't act quickly enough! Well done!

This car was apperently ordered at the earls court motor show, then supplied by the local dealer "murket btos" in cambridgeshire

Already done and this one was on it. You'll have to contact Nick directly if you want a copy.

The problem with spreadsheets are that if you don't get on with the person running them, you're left out of the loop.

Off the top of my head, you're probably looking at six in the first 100, including the gold car, then another few between 101 and 1000. From the '64 cars, probably a dozen, no more. That would make around less than 24 from the first two years of production.

Yep, really nice, even down to the Pirelli's!
It's also interresting to see the early interior lights at the edges of the dashboard.
Pity about the retrimed front seats, it doesn't look like leather, but i guess it's not too difficult to find a decent pair of black flat pleats.
