ARCTIC WHITE TOUCH UP PAINT

Hi

I have a late November 1975 2200 SC in pristine original condition in Arctic White. This week something took a large chip out of the top of the front wing. I nearly wept! Before I go down the road of an expensive professional job which could involve spraying the wing - which I don't want to do because of its originality - does anyone know where I can get some touch up paint from - I have never been able to source it. Thanks Mike J.

If you don’t go down that route, which is definitely a good route, any decent automotive paint shop will be able to supply paint to match what you have. This will most likely be cellulose, but always consider what paint is already on there to avoid any potential reactions
If you can only source an aerosol of the right colour for some reason, spray a heavy amount into the cap or another container where it can remain liquid and enable you to use a small detail paint brush to apply.

This all depends on the size of the chip of course.

Thanks - we have used firms for small repairs on our modern car with success and will give it some thought. The idea of getting an aerosol is one worth considering thanks - if I can find one! The area around the chip has dented slightly so will need to consider that too.
