Asking for photos & a few questions - comparison of 14" and 15" rostyles (+alternatives)

Did you try Trans global express website? Their UPS and TNT quotes are usually very competitive and normally include collection

Thanks Jim,

Their cheapest offer is from DPD or UPS with about 27 GBP + VAT.
How much is VAT in the UK?
But i am not sure they offer a insurance for this price.

Anyway i have to wait until the seller received my money, removed the old tyres from the wheel and packed them to give me dimensions and weight.
I calculated with 6,5kg per wheel. Including all the packing material the parcel shouldn't get over 30kg. That's the maximum weight for DPD they told me.
Does anyone the weight of a 14" Rostyle?

195/75 R14 are not easy to find anyway...
I only found NANKANG N605 with H Speed Index...
or the
MAXXIS MA1, but that's only S-Index.
In Austria i wouldn't care, because i don't go that fast, but the italian police isn't very handsome...

I reckon they're likely closer to 10kg each, the only 14" ones I've ever actually removed and had in front of me were from the zagato TCZ strangely enough, otherwise I've only dealt with 15" p5 ones. I reckon they're all roughly the same weights as the standard p6 14" steels..
I think that international UPS services have automatic insurance upto a certain amount, but best to make sure, you might need to pay a little extra..
U.K. VAT is 20%

Dear community,

When i looked back the last years in this forum, i saw a lot of guys like me thought on wheel/tyre combinations and if they could go wider.
I made a little summary of all the combinations i read about in this and the german P6 Forum.

In this list, you should find informations on:
  • wheels that fit without change of pcd
  • wheel diameter and width and offset
  • tyres used on the wheel
  • name of a P6 driver which has experience on a wheel/tyre combination to ask
  • modifications needed to fit the wheel/tyre combination
If you help me to correct or maybe add information to this list, i think it could be a big help for others.
This is list will also be posted on the german P6 forum

best regards,
Simon, who is waiting that his "new" 14" Rostyles arrive :):D:p

ive been following stuff to do with wheels with interest, it seems just about no one has got anything wider than a 205 on a p6, im looking to change my wheels, fortunately im in the position where i could "adjust" the bodywork but dont want to do major cutting, just to make life difficult the plan is to lower it, ideally i'd like something like a 7x16 with at least a 205 tyre,

my p6 is fitted with 200 denovos on alloys ( think the wheels are actually sd1) the tyres themselves have plenty of clearance, but the denovo alloys are quite narrow which is probably giving a false picture of how much space is really there, but looking at another car on 185's without rear wings fitted 215mm should be possible without cutting so 225 my work with a bit of D post work.

id rather buy wheels before i start body work, but other than lumping for a set of vitesse alloys which seem to be the biggest known fitment, there seems little info out there.
i like rostyles but dont want a set of them, in any case they are narrow, minilite would be my favourite , any more info out there??

Beware - lowering the P6 isn't as straightforward as with other cars due to the suspension arrangement.... Can be done but not straight forward.

thanks, yes, im well aware that its not dead straight forward, i have lots and lots of race small diameter race car spring going spare and will probably convert it to use 2.5 inch dia springs on adjustable platforms.
