Ball joint rubbers - Can you buy them?

The rubbers on my steering side rod are perished, but the rod is fine. Does anyone know where rubbers for this and other ball joints can be bought? It seems crazy to buy a new component when only 10p's worth of rubber is needed. They are obviously maunfactured 'cos they're on the new ones!

If you find some let me know....

,,,,for the last MoT I fitted TWO brand new side rods because of the same dahm problem!

......mind you it did tighten up the steering a bit and it was easy really as at the same time it was new discs pads etc and a ball joint or two...... lol

10p !! LOL
I've just bought a seal kit for my 820 clutch slave cylinder, which as you might guess is one piston seal (like a big o ring) and the little boot that goes over the end.

Cost £11.00 ..... totally shocking, even the girl in the factors was suprised. Mind you a new cylinder would have been £70+vat !

For yours you could always buy the cheapest joint you can find and just use the rubber ! throw the rest away.

Does this mean I have to come up to your gaff and help you fit the Bl***y thing then.....

Tell your missus to get the kettle on Richard!

.....£11 eh?......could have bought a whole new 820 for that much!

What do you mean £11, I expect 2 for that !!, put it this way, of the 6 800's I've had I've only payed money for 3 of them !

I remember seeing them for sale at an autojumble years ago and motor factors used to stock them. It seems like a conspiracy to make us buy more stuff! They are obviously still made, maybe we can find out who makes them and buy a load between us.
