Bop-Bop-Bop...

I use the 5/16 socket, but get to it behind the centre console, By using a couple of 1/4" extension bars or so, and open the driver's side knee bin, you can get to them quite easily and at 90°.

I did try that Richard, but found that the RHS heater lever connection got in the way!

I always say my Rovers are good "10 yard" cars & here's the proof:

I do think it's probably my favourite P6 colour combination, but whilst it's a good car now, it's not quite as good really close-up ;)

Following the 'repair' (screw-tightening) of the heater direction & temperature controls noted above, the on/off & speed control lever started playing up. It became a lottery as to whether the heater would work.

I was fearing having to take the heater box out, but then the direction lever came loose again, so I looked around at both sides of the centre console & saw that the temperature lever's connection's nut & bolt were very loose. So I put my 6 inch multi-bendy fingers on ;) & managed to tighten that up:

Try the simple things first! It now works a treat; obviously there had been too much play in this joint. There is another 'round the corner' so plenty of opportunity for slackness.

It's been a while since I posted but I have been quite busy with other things. However, I haven't forgotten the P6s & they have just kept plodding on with no particular issues, although Hazel's brakes are being rebuilt at the moment (see other thread).

So just another picture of BOP to be going on with:

BOP is getting a little tatty in places but I enjoy using it. I don't mind a bit of rain, but it won't be out in salt!
