Howdy! Currently designing a throttle cable linkage to work with my Holley and the auto. Can't afford one from Rimmers and they want $80AUD postage.....anyway, when I pull on the throttle cable I can feel two definite stages. The cable comes out an inch, then you feel it pull on a cam or something and it will pull out another inch or so. Quick question is, what is the second stage doing? Is the first stage doing anything or just slack in the set up? Cheers, Rob.
 
The cam isn't a regular shape so you're just feeling the bumps as the cam slides over the end of the valve
 
Next question - any idea what thread the carburetor end of the throttle cable is? I need to create a mount for it and I have to figure a way to add another nut on there without damaging the cable.....fun.
