Brake flexys

Do you have a Rover 3500 parts catalog. I have a Rover 2200 parts catalog, I could look up the numbers if you have 3500 number to compare with.

I just remembered that they did change to metric threads on the 2200 and some late 2000's, and I just confirmed that in my workshop manual. So you would need flex hoses for a late Rover 3500. The original metric hoses had two M's on them. The front hoses are both GHB138, the rear from the pipe to the caliper, is GHB303, and caliper to caliper is GHB305

Metric calipers doesn't make any difference to the hoses, as the hoses don't screw into the calipers at the front they join to the link pipe half way up the pillar, and everything is all the same at the rear..

I was wondering about that, the workshop manual is a little misleading as it show photos of the ends of hoses. Why would you change the hoses when they went to metric calipers, there is not need for it.

Pretty much all British workshop manual of that particular era had something about metric vs SAE hose ends. I think it was because of the obvious safety issue of installing the wrong hose and ending up with no brakes.
