I aquired brandy my 1971 p6 rover cross over series 1 /2 as she is known on 3rd of June Just before my major opp i had to have in Southampton General , from a well known respected p6 enthusiast guy i was lucky to meet before his untimely death .Dave Pilkie from Bristol he had the car a number of years she was well restored and built by him ...I now own her ...Unfortunately because of his serious illness i bought her very neglected and with a very neglected engine .. hence why she needs another engine and a lot of tlc ..which was out of Daves control under the circumstances. i joined the Rover p6 Club ,and got to know a few rover p6 enthusiasts Helen Terri has a rover meet every month and thats where i was lucky to meet Kevin Watkiss and his wife Jenny ..lovely couple Kevin turned up in his rover p6 2000tc twin carbed auto only one i know ..and trust me she moves !!!!..she left me and my partner Jane behind in our sport Astra GTC auto!! fact not fiction !!!!Kevin has given me so much advice and info and been on hand to help me with brandy and what he knows on p6 rovers no ones had time to learn ! he is rebuilding her new v8 engine and his brother Mick who helps kevin and also does bodywork is looking after brandys coach work ,two wonderful friends im really indebted to . Kevin believes the p6 cars should be kept on the road not on the scrap heap ! i fully agree ,as these are a great English built sophisticated smooth comfortable cars .Kevin and Mick will put a v8 that kev has in another p6 with less than 15000 miles in brandy, as well as gearbox until the other engine is built ,so i can use her as a rolling restoration ..the ongoing restoration continues as i am now her new owner and very proud to be.The progress continues .

Welcome along Mr Tate. Your car was well documented on here over the years by Pilkie, who enjoyed it immensely. Nice to know it is in good hands.

Hi Mark. Nice to see you here as well as Facebook. If you search for pilkies posts on here you will find the history of your car over the last few years.
