bumper iron gaitors

hi all , can someone tell me how to slide the brand new bumper iron gaitors over or around the bends?
do they stretch enough to slide down them or should I use a lubricant of sorts?
They are the front ones.
Cheers Karl

Seriously? They're wider internally than the metal they're going over. Use a little muscle.

I had the same problem with the front gaiters, just lubricated with some washing up soap and used a bit of force to slide them on......

The problem I have is making them stay in position. A couple of them always slide out half an inch and look untidy. Any tips?

A couple of spots of superglue? Don't put it on with a plasterer's trowel, just a couple of spots, one on each side.

I recently replaced my gators when I had the front lower valance panel off for painting.
I bought new ones and Wins stated that they fit both front and back.
The rear ones fully cover the opening in the metal, but the front ones are too short to fully cover the opening.
So I deduce that the original front gaiters were actually longer than the rear ! has anyone else noticed this small discrepancy in the reproductions?

Good guess. There were originally two part numbers, with different lengths. Only the short ones have been reproduced. Funnily enough, just the other day I came across a few of the longer ones (used, sadly) in my parts collection. The front used two short & two long, the rears were just the short ones as I recall
