Can S2 Wiper Spindle Grommets fit a S1?

Reassembling my 2000 post paint ATM. One of the plastic covers that go over the spindle is cracked and looking its age. Could I just use the rubber grommets from the Series 2? I guess they don't look as smart as the form fitting S1 covers. Unless anyone has a spare. I'm after the smaller one of the two that goes in the passenger side on a RHD vehicle.
 
I believe the holes for the wiper spindle in the air intake panel are larger to accommodate the rubber grommet. But I’m not certain on that.
