Choke demounting from the dashboard

Hi,
I am struggeling with my choke-cable. The Bowden cable (the hose) is disconnected to the nut. So if I push the choke back I push also the Hose back. Now I want to release the nut of the choke to see wether I can repair it. But unfortunately I can do that with my tools because of the less space. Now I want to Build a special Nut for it. Could you say me what is the key size of the choke nut? Or what can I do to disconnect the chokecable on the Dashboard?
I have a Rover P6, V8, 1970, Automatic with the Hook-Choke an the Word „Choke“ on it.
Sorry, my english sounds funnyIMG_3546.jpeg, but I come from Germany and my englisch isn‘t realy good.
Best regards

There's a factory tool for that job, there are pictures in the WM if you want to get an Idea of what you're aiming for.

Thank you,
I think it should be a nut for a spark Plug with a Slot. I could make such a Tool, nur needs the size of the nur. What means WM?

Been there, done that (BTDT). The nut is 3/4" (19mm). get a 3/4" tube spanner (tool kit plug spanner) Cut the 3/4 end at about 2-2.5" from the end - long enough to reach past the speaker area of the console, then cut a slot along the length just big enough to fit over the cable. slip this over the cable on the black part, then slide up until it engages the nut. If the slot is placed correctly you will be able to get a screwdriver blade into it to give you leverage to undo the nut. Make a note of where on the bulkhead the cable goes into the engine bay. Dont lose the R clip that holds the ferrule on the carb!
Same tool should work on the reserve control, but I havent actually tried that one.

Thank you very much!

I managed to undo the nut on mine with an open ended spanner , pointing the open end along the cable . It was not too tight so came undone.
