Hello
just as I got to thinking I might make some progress on my restoration that commenced seemingly somewhere near to the end of the Cretaceous Period, I have a knocking clunking sound that seems to be coming from the PAS box on my NADA. There’s no fluid in it, and it happens when you move the wheel to the left within the free play. It appears like the shaft at the base of the PAS box has some vertical slop in it. Can I assume it’s a seal or bearing that’s buggered and after painting it all, I will have to take the box out and tangle with the various ball joints? As may be obvious I have zero experience with this particular magic box. Groan.
