Coil balast circuit.

Most of us know that we use a balast resistor in the coil circuit, but where ?
Wiring diagram shows it as a wire .
Messing about with spares car and as the main loom is not clever thought I would try and find it.
On the coil + there is 2 wires in 1 spade terminal .
The thicker white / yellow goes to starter motor for the 12volt feed when cranking .
The thinner of the 2 is the 9 volt feed.
If you look at the loom in place from the coil you will see it joins into a pink/white wire about 6 inches joine20161030_163413.jpg 20161030_163403.jpg 20161030_163500.jpg 20161030_163516.jpg 20161030_164456.jpg d with a black connector .
Can see this joiner poking out of main loom .
That then follows along inner wing /across dash to rev counter area . That pink /white loom is the resistor .
Rejoins onto a yellow / white and plugs into rev counter .
May be slightly different pick up point on rev counter as mine is early 3500s.
Took a few pictures of loom , you may be able to pick the balast part.
Balast still appears to work ok .
Clive .
