Door seal tool

Hi people.
I know I have been absent on here for a while and I am sorry if some of you think bad of me. I have been really busy with work over the last few months especially as I changed my job about 3 months ago and now get even less time to do things. Pleased to say The Minstrel is still running all though not on 4 cylinders. I am in the process of buying a 2200cc engine to replace the 2000cc thats in at the moment. Will keep you updated. Can anyone send me a diagram of a door seal tool for a P6 so that I can possibly fabricate one. Or failing that, possibly lend me one, please?
Many thanks guys.

It looks like a pizza cutter but the wheel is smaller. You can use a pizza cutter though, or just a plastic scaper and push in a piece at a time.

Hi Richard.
Many thanks for that. I now know what I can use to make one. Going to use a 50mm penny washer fixed in a cut off from a broom handle. Should do the job nicely (I hope). Will post whether it works or not. Lol

If you smear the seal and channel with moisturiser before you start the install will be painless.

Hi have a look on the interior section on here on boot rubber fitment, i posted a picture of the tool i made and use.
Clive.

You should get a set of trim tools.

The are on ebay for a £1 or 2, usually orange. The are great prying off plastic trim without damage and pushing rubber back into channels.

Several months ago I replaced the seal on the boot and bought a useful tool from Bunnings.
It is used for pushing fly-screen beading into the frame , a handle with a thin wheel on each end of the tool, large and small size, cost about $4-.
Did the job very well, used soapy water for lubricant.
