drain pipes

does anyone know of where the 90 deg rubber pipes can be purchased (if at all) for the heater box?
and also do the actual drain pipes (approx. a foot long) have somewhere they should be fixed to?
The ends have mouldings with a slot all the way around like they should fit into a hole of their own, like a rubber bung/grommet.
Any help much appreciated
Thanks Karl

Hey thanks but not where they are fixed to the box itself.
Mine look different to Wadhams as the other ends (that are not attached to the box) have ends which are enlarged with a groove around the circumference (like a grommet)
They look like the should fit into a hole of their own, in the body of the firewall or somewhere.
I may have to take a pic and upload it.

was looking to replace mine too. so peeked these. can see slight issue in that what remains ofd my Adrian tubes seem so be held in by mastic/adhesive? but will I think get a couple from wadhams and see how it all works after removing old 'remains'. these look as though original 40 year old as rubber very much disintegrating. !

That doesn't sound like the proper part then. I've never seen a drain tube with anything other than a plain bottom end. Frequently there was a short piece of larger tube over the end, but still basically plain with no grooves. Picture would be good.

I guess there may be some variation for years.
My original ones were as I say fixed to the heater box with a little plate with a screw at each end, they just hung down and draped over the firewall, they did not go through any hole and had plain ends. The Wadhams ones were a direct replacement.

pics from my 1974 model, exactly as cobraboy or Vern describe. Came from Wadhams, fitted exactly with the original fixing plates. In general, they are very short and I will extend them with simple water brass pipes so they do not end at the bulkhead.

For NZ cars there was a local component added to assembly and there were changes made to various parts where a local NZ industry existed (to protect manufacturers viability in NZ) and you will possibly find that as there was a thriving rubber industry in NZ ie Para, Skellerup, Empire Rubber Mills and the like that this part may have been substituted for NZ assembly in Nelson. Really need a few other NZ car owners to look at their cars to confirm that.

i tried to upload a pic but too large
can someone quickly explain how to size it? Thanks !@#$% computers!
IF you're just resizing one you can load it with paint and use the option from the menu. There are resize tools too which can be quite handy.

Just a thought to admin/webmaster.... is there a way to auto resize a jpg to a more compressed version?

If you want to resize photos more frequently for any reason, try "Tiny Pic", it´s a very simple freeware. Pre-set (file size, to store into the original folder or create a folder below) is self-explaining. Just drag and drop your original photo file from your explorer into the Tiny Pic window and that´s it.
For sure, there is more simple software available. Tried some and personally found this the easiest one.
Please be careful when downloading, try it from the original site and take care, that your virus detector is updated.

Thanks guys, my "Rover widow" (Debbie) helped me use paint.
i have unscrewed them and as you can see, the end, although the slot/groove is not visible it looks though it sits into a hole/plate.
I have removed the rust today and etched the casing ready for some paint. It wont be immaculate like somebodies above lol, but id like to insulate it like it was new, has anyone used insulation on the outside and what have they used?
Thanks again
Karl
