DVLA enquiry V888

I have just filled out one of these and was a little confused.

The new form updated 29th April 2016 shows that as a previous or current owner there is no fee payable. Previously it was £5. in some other information it still shows you need to send the fee.

For the cost of a stamp I am going to chance it but curious if anyone else has sent in a V888 recently?

Finally received my reply from the dvla.

It is indeed free.

Can anyone make this name out or perhaps know the company?

I think I have got this one.

After a lot of surfing I couldnt find any coach buisness by that address.

However any one familiar with the carry on films may recognise 'jack crump' who supplied a few coaches for the films and also shuttled staff around to and from the studio.

So a little bit of an interesting start to life for my car. Wonder if it ended up in the any of the films from the time. Might need to sit down and watch old films circa 1977/78 also the TV programmes the churned out.
