was corrected by another Rover P6 owner when I commented on his Gloss paint in engine bay. he says many 'new' cars and his came out of factory with gloss paint and were not all Satin paint. so live and learn I guess. though is there a way of knowing what cars ? years? had gloss or satin as for many originality counts .
