Estoura S1 V8.

Yep. Cornwall.

To be fair, although his youtube stuff is a bit chaotic, he described the car accurately and was ok to deal with.

Just took him a year to accept my offer!

Of course my Youtube is chaotic that's what makes it interesting!

Yeah well can you blame me it went for over 5K on ebay spent ages trying to sort that out then went back to other people who asked a year ago bla bla bla but yeah it went to a good home!

I'm getting there.

I now have all the bits to upgrade to an ACR alternator.

Its running, still have a coolant leak but I think I can see it.

I have driven it short distances, seems to go very well.

Rain is colecting in the footwells, clearly needs sorting.

There are rubber bungs under the footwell carpets you can remove to drain out the water...possible ingress points are numerous unfortunately and most are rather hard to access. I suggest hiring a smoke unit, locking it in the car whilst on and looking for where the smoke comes out...That will at least narrow down the search area and clear some of the firewall access points.

Speaking of the fellow in Cornwall, co-incidentally, Fay the ex-aircon 3500 recently ended up in his field after buying her from the previous owner (who Rich Moon sold her to):

Fay, 1973 3500 For Sale.

The PO apparently robbed the top of the engine for a P5B & also in their ownership the very nice interior that l put in from Poor Old POE was stolen, which may be true, l have no way of knowing. She is up for sale again at £2500, also with a wing or two missing by the looks of it.

Rich was apparently in the market to buy her back as a complete car but no contact was forthcoming to his enquiries before he came across Sheldon's post on farceache, so that was that.
She was a pretty tidy car & Rich finished the work needed to a very good standard so it's a great shame that she has been mistreated in such a way. If l had room l wouldn't have sold her in the first place as you obviously have no control over what happens to a car afterward but it's a bit disheartening to see a vehicle that you did a lot of work on (with much help from Harvey of course) in such a deplorable state.

It shouldn't happen to a Rover.

I fitted all new flame trap hoses and crankcase breather and the airbox with new filters tonight. Great!

Not so great, coolant leak persists and I've lost the 18ACR alternator bracket. Argh!
