Factory Air Con vacuum connection

I'm working through the vacuum piping to install factory air in my P6 and have hit a bump... The manual shows one of the two inlet pipes connected to "B" spigot but "C" spigot is on the other end of that device and the manual doesn't show where it connects to though it looks like it should be the "D" spigot on the main switch. the "C" spigot nearly blocks the "D" spigot so I assume one either needs a long pipe in a big P shaped loop or a very short pipe which just turns the corner. Can anyone confirm this for me?

What vacuum piping? Or rather I should ask what factory air? Is it a 4 cyl car or a V8?

I'm currently in the middle of fitting factory air to a 69 TC, and there is no vacuum involved at all.

Mine is a V8. Factory air and Power windows, the controls are mostly vacuum operated via two knobs which sit either side of the power windows switch block directly below the radio.

Is your car New Zealand assembled? Did you install the power windows yourself, or were they factory installed?

James.

Car is NZ assembled it had unicla air con bodged in under dash and no power windows. I've bought the windows ,switches and frames and have them ready to go in as soon as I find out where the wiring goes exactly. the air con is similarly purchased and i'm wondering how the unit will line up with the sill panel it sits on compared to a non-air car. the air tube wiring diagram and the actual switch panel are not exact matches. Car is at panel beaters at the moment and in bits + both my camera and phone are currently not working so I can't do a pic at the moment but will try to get one of the rear of the switch panel.

Are you still working on this? I have just pulled out my complete AC system from my NADA V8 and so might have some useful photos for you. Send me a PM if I can help!

I tried to PM you but couldn't get it to work. yes I'm still working on it. I had a look at your car shots and I note the Power Windows have a master switch I wasn't aware of. It looks like a short BMC one is that the correct one or a replacement for one that matches the others? I also have no idea what the base unit changes are to fit the Air Con unit, apart from the different holes, I noticed the inside intake panel is much larger than I thought it was, some clearer photos would be lovely. The other sticking point is where and how the window wiring enters and exits the pillars, some shots there would be gold. Obviously a rear shot of the switch panel from a couple of angles would also be very helpful. All help is very much appreciated.
