Flat spot on acceleration

Hi all,

I don't use my P6 much through the winter but took it out for a run today. The cold weather has highlighted some running problems. There's a noticeable flat spot until 2000rpm, after which it picks up well and pulls strongly. It's also unhappy running smoothly until it's properly warm, with the flat spot being noticeably worse, to the point of being undrivable when very cold.

I've topped up the dashpots, but that hasnt cured things. I suspect the mixture it too lean so will try adjusting it up 1/4 turn at a time to see if things improve. Does this sound like in looking in the right area? Any other suggestions as to where to look?

Cheers, Tom

You may as well check the points and the plugs ,The latter will give you an idea if it's running weak.
Maybe it just needs a good run after not much use ?
