getting used to a P6 again

I have flashed people and the horn sounds, I have indicated right and the front lights shift to high beam, I have needed the windscreen wipers and been in confusion looking for the right stalk , it takes a while to get used to how the P6 is laid out after years in a car less than 10 years old. the indicator stalks are the opposite way around and dont operate the wipers , I used to know all this instinctively
SAT NAV plugs in via the cigar lighter, glad that works

A P6 is set up correctly for Right hand drive vehicles, the Japanese continued this set up for many years after the UK changed . It annoyed me that we ( UK) decided to adopt the LHD standard , but I guess it was so manufacturers could type approve vehicles for the whole of Europe & America.

ah that is the reason!! great explanation , at least I know why now . my son had a drive of the P6 and I saw him going through the same mix up entirely. slowly re-learning the old ways and at least I know the horn works fine but have made the same crazy mistakes again :p good fun and loving the P6 again (30 years on from the last one)
