Working not on my Rover, but on my Bachelor's thesis in Civil Engineering. I carried out research into sediment diversionary mechanisms for river intake screens. My finished thesis presenting their design over 207 pages and 43,000 words. In so doing, I solvedRon's thesis.jpg a problem that had persisted with a rural Council for 34 years, whilst extending the current field of research into submerged vanes. I feel quite proud to be honest :)

No rest though, now I concentrate on working as a Civil/Structural Engineer whilst continuing to study for my Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

Well done Ron. No wonder you went quiet there for a bit. Kudos to you mate for all that hard yakka.
Thanks Gerald :) I enjoyed the process and the research, but I certainly would have appreciated more time for other things too.

Sounds more substantial than the usual Bachelor's thesis. In fact sounds more like a Masters.

Hi Mike,

I received similar comments from the subject coordinator. From what I had read, the average length of a Bachelor's thesis in Civil Engineering is around 120 pages. It is good practice, as my Master's thesis will also be research based.

Awesome stuff Ron, all I've managed to do recently is build a soap box racer :) - and I haven't finished that yet

Richard

Thanks Richard :) It was stressful but also very enjoyable to accomplish. I am sure you will have it finished before too much longer ;)
