hazard switch

Hi, What's the problem with the one you have? The hazard switch connects both flasher cans and all the indicator wires go through it. Because it's so little used the contacts within can corrode up, but still function as normal until it's used and switched off again then contact can be lost and all sorts of spurious faults present themselves, some times the slightest touch whilst operating a neighbouring switch can cause it. The solution is is to just keep switching it in and out repeatedly to wear the corrosion away and re establish contact again, using switch cleaner will aid this if you have any. Or has it grenade d? In which case forget I spoke.

you are probably right colin. took it out and cleaned and pulled in and out for quite a while. fit back into dash and if i hold it in 1 position i get 1 side to work then in another position other side works but not both at same time. perhaps will try again.
