That's amazing. Still on the original engine? Not rebuilt? Brilliant! My old girl is 49 miles away from going round the clock View attachment 19881
I believe it is the original, it certainly looks like the bolts etc holding it in place etc were never touched. Mileage is probably correct, very little wear on steering wheel, pedals, switches and seats but of course I can’t be sure. Would love to track down the first owner, anyone know any of doing that from the original UK reg no etc? That's amazing. Still on the original engine? Not rebuilt? Brilliant!
Great engine which would go on for many miles yet before a rebuild. I am also interested in trying to track down the first owner of my car, but again, no idea on how to go about this.I believe it is the original, it certainly looks like the bolts etc holding it in place etc were never touched. I'm almost afraid to post after the v8 in barn fiasco, but here goes.
Nopes. Just me. I found a lovely 3500S in a barn, and at first the elderly gent seemed keen on selling it to me. I posted a few pics. Anyway he changed his mind, for "Sentimental Reasons" he's letting it rot. Despite my protestations and offers of large wads of cash. Thats all.Did I miss something ? I missed something didn't I ?
Welcome to the group which is a great place for banter and of course technical help. Best place to be in.Thanks for accepting me, I’m just after getting my hands on a 1969 P6 3500 V8 and love it. Looking forward to doing a few jobs during the winter but for now, loving the rumble of the V8 when we are out cruising with the vintage lads
What fiasco? Would you please explain as I am very curious now...Did I miss something ? I missed something didn't I ?
Hello Dave. In summary, Lying in a barn about 10 minutes away, is a White 3500S, 50,000 miles on the clock, Green Glass, Huntsman Brown vinyl roof. I thought I had secured it, but the elderly owner changed his mind at the last moment. I had already posted some pics on Page 1 of this thread, which I then had to delete. Thats all. What fiasco? Would you please explain as I am very curious now...
There is a mint 2000 for sale here in Ireland, not far from me, 29000 miles on the clock. €6700 (£5700) being asked. If anyone is interested, I have his number.
Hi Chris, I would if I had the owner's permission. and I'm not sure of forum protocol in such matters. I picked the least likely to offend. Zero rust. Looks like all original panels, you couldn't get a fag paper between them. One of the early reds,, 1969. Ticks over like a clock apparently.Ooh.. more pictures please..
