Hello

I'm just about to take delivery of a 66 series 1 2000sc :D This will be another joint project between me and my dad as we also have a 1969 Triumph 1300 and I also have a 62 ragtop beetle and a camper. Before anyone asks I'm not a spotty 17yr old, i'm 40 with a family and still get on with my dad

We have just picked up what we though would be a 'few' spares which turned out to be two transit vans full   I'm now spending my time going through it all trying to fathom out what is what  So far I can say that it's series 1 and 2 mostly V8 stuff I think. Everything from wheels, windows (sundym and clear), wood panels(3 different patterns of wood?), suspension, front grills, brakes, loads of wings and panels, doors, switchs, interior bits, carpets, dashes, loads of lights/indicators, nuts bolts screws!!! It has totally filled my garage around my beetle which for the minute has stopped play on the resto
If you need anything let me know. once I have gone through it al and decided what we need and don't i'll be selling it on here and e-bay as I really need my garage back!!

Oh, the only drawback so far is the reg plate which is MNU **D being a Lifelong Liverpool fan those who like footbal will know what I mean

We can't wait to pick up the rover when it's MOT'd sometime next week. It's going to be my new daily driver :p I'm hoping that this forum is as friendly as some of the others I have visited and so far it is :D :D

Welcome aboard :)
Glad it's another daily driver, I might not get stared at so much if there were more out and about

Hi,

I'm pretty new here myself and this is a friendly and really helpful bunch of people. welcome :O)

Rich.

Hiya thebaldyman

Was that the white one on eBay recently. Congrats on winning it if it was. I was watching it but having nowhere to keep another one I didn't bid. I was born in '66 and want to get a '66 P6 sometime.

Welcome too the forum....and to another daily driver

Dave

Welcome aboard, Baldyman (may I guess that your head is more like the Honduran forest?). Or maybe not!

I hope you find here the sort of people you are looking for.

I am pretty proud of my old banger, '73 2200 SC. She's not as gadgeted as my daily Pathfinder but anyway she has something "special" that my Nissan hasn't. Well, my Nissan or any other else modern car!

I like your style, man. I hope to keep on reading you.

Regards

Well, being a lifelong MANU fan I'd say your car sounds darn near perfect

Hi baldyman,
That's what I like to hear, another daily driver soon to hit the roads, maybe if there's enough of us using them daily people will read the badge and stop calling my SC a Triumph. I wish you luck with the car and look after your aircooled stuff aswell (I'm a bit of a fan of those too). All the best.

I hear you there! My red TC has licence plates that say "R0V3R" and I still had someone say "nice Triumph" to me the other day. :x Philistines!
