Some of you would know that my boy has been restoring and hot roding his minor and he was very close to completion at the end of the month.......well this morning he moved it yo the other end of the yard for about half an hour while a shift about took place in that short time someone done this....

It dont lol to bad in the pic but it has gone in about an inch and a nice 6 inch crack has appeared to the left off the exhaust. So damaged before it even hit the road

That's crap. Doesnt give someone his age a good image of people in general does it?

That's awful! And after so much hard work had gone in making it perfect! It's really off-putting when stuff like that happens. I hope he's not too disheartened. Is a new outer rear wing needed, or can he knock out and fill that one? Or is it GRP?

I love the colour though. Is that Clipper Blue? Kiera wants hers in that colour.

Michael

Sorry to see that Guy :( you boy is well proud of his project ,I just hope he isnt too down hearted ,I had a similar thing happen to my Integra a few months back at work ,I know things can be repaired ,but they should have the common decency to own up

Michael the colour is ford olympic blue, thanks to all for your comments I will pass them on....

Got to feel for your lad. Would I have owned up if it was me that bumped it, wouldn't even have to think about it, definitely own up. That's society now though. Hopefully he can have it sorted sharpish.

That's a real shame Guy, I was talking to your lad at the weekend and he has put so much work into it. I agree with happy days, I would have to fess up if that were me but then maybe to us we can appreciate the hard work that has gone into it, others probably think its just a car, and I'm not coughing up for that.

As above Guy , he was so excited about it when we spoke at the weekend . Hopefully it can be sorted quick and easy . You'll be keeping an eye out for cars with suspicious dents at the same height around where it happened i'm sure :x

GGRRRRRR!!!!! That hurts! Tell him I'm as angry as he is! At least if they'd fessed up everyone could have stayed freinds, now there'll always be that little doubt...

Chris

Dam shame the B*****d who done that and just left it wants his head dented hope he can fix it without too much expense cant wait to see it when its completed

Mark

Can we see a pic of YOUR four wings Guy, can I see a little Almond paint their. I see your thinking, don't want your lads Minor out shining the P6. Understandable I suppose. :D

Not nice :( . Have had that happen me more than once! One of my neighbours hit my old Mondeo one day many years ago and was good enough to own up. Their reward was me touching up the bumper myself and even buffing the marks off their car FOC because I had such respect for their honesty. The person that drove the ball of their tow bar through the bumper and left (without removing the evidence) was less fortunate. At least I know the tow bar mountings on my red car are solid now though  .

Dave

10 days after Thunderdog was put on the road after 18 months of hard work rebuilding him

And Sparky attacked by some brave little heroes - thankfully a month or so before I took him off the road for the rebuild

And yet, it's STILL illegal to beat them to a pulp with a large spanner :?:

its a common problem nowadays mate, some peoples driving skills and total disregard for any other vehicle on the road is beyond a joke, tell pietro not to dwell on it too much and just concentrate on fixing it.

 Judging by the damage to Thunderdog I'd have assumed that it would have been just a hit, not a hit and run. I assume it was a HGV or an old Volvo if it managed to get away! A drunk driver hit and wrote off my brother's 520d on the roadside one night and attempted to run but she'd hit it so hard she was tangled in it. Luckily a passer by maganged to snatch the keys and restrainer her until the plod arrived. Thankfully my damaged has never been that bad, the worst being my Jag getting keyed in a hotel carpark less than 24 hours after getting it  .
Regards,
Dave
